About

Ben has a B.A. in history from Christopher Newport University and an M.A. in American studies from the College of William and Mary. His writing career has led him to all sorts of odd corners of the world: he has jumped out of a perfectly good airplane, wrestled crab pots on a Chesapeake Bay work boat and taken a helicopter ride through a twisting river gorge.

Ben has written about his experiences in regional, state and national publications, including Outdoor Life, U.S. Airways Magazine, The Colonial Williamsburg Journal and Virginia Living, among others. He is also a columnist with Coastal Virginia Magazine.

Ben lives in Williamsburg, Virginia with his wife and two sons. Odds are good you will find him outside with them somewhere when he is not chasing or telling stories.
